You can expect a peaceful and uplifting musical experience... The album comprises nine captivating compositions written and performed by veteran reed player ROBERT KYLE and jazz pianist/vocalist ALYSE KORN. The songs are intimate and lyrical, inspired by their love of Jazz, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music. Best known for his warm tone and passionate interpretations on tenor & soprano sax, and his melodic and inventive flute work, Kyle is also a composer, arranger and producer. The Los Angeles native records and performs in many styles including jazz, blues, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, R&B and classical with many top names. He has recorded over a dozen CDs as a leader. Miami native Korn, a jazz pianist/keyboardist, vocalist, composer, arranger, and music educator, performs with many top jazz, Brazilian and salsa artists. The music on TUESDAY’S CHILD is eloquent and subtle. Its poly-rhythms and elegant harmonies draw you in gently to its wistful melodies. Robert Kyle has a distinguished recording career, and TUESDAY’S CHILD is a stellar addition to his roster of captivating albums. Alyse Korn is an experienced pianist who possesses a warm, buttery voice. TUESDAY’S CHILD should give audiences the opportunity to hear her sensitive piano accompaniments and improvisations. Together, they have created an inviting collection of compelling compositions. Album reviews for "Tuesday's Child"... “A captivating album that allows listeners to fall into deep contemplation… the transparency, dynamics, and depth have made the album a joy to listen to. Highly recommended for fans of jazz and contemplative music listeners, along with those who have followed earlier acoustic driven ECM recordings. Truly a peaceful and uplifting listen that is both creative and inspiring.” Hi-Res Edition by Wesley Derbeyshire “The songs transcend their inspirations. As the old nursery rhyme says, Tuesday’s Child is full of grace, and this is such an apt title for the album… a musical island of peace and introspection. The instruments on each track softly sing to each other and sing to both the present moment and to the individual moments of each song.” Jazz Views (UK) by Ben Miller "Alyse Korn shows off her piano technique… her sensitive touch and under-stated piano technique blends seamlessly with Robert Kyle’s reed mastery. Together this husband-and-wife team, project a feeling of tranquility, love and peace of mind. What more do you need?” Musical Memoirs by Dee Dee McNeil “There are times when you want to listen to some gentle, relaxing jazz sounds… The songs have an instant appeal. Kyle plays his saxophones and flute with a welcoming tone, while Korn caresses the keys with elegance, style and grace. They make a finely tuned duo, two players with totally empathetic musical interactions.” Jersey Jazz by Joe Lang
